I have a lot more foreskin on my penis than I should have, do I have to see a doctor? -

When my penis is not erect, there is a lot of foreskin covering the entire penis and more. Will this lead to any problems?

If your not HAVING problems, then it s NOT a problem. Don t worry about it. I wish I had a lot more foreskin.

Perhaps you have a longer foreskin than some, but unless you have some sort of problem with it, it s perfectly all right. It s supposed to cover the glans, and if it hangs beyond the glans, that s okay--it will actually make your penis look larger when flaccid. If you don t have any problem retracting it, then there s nothing to worry about. You re more sensitive than guys who were victims of male genital mutilation, and you have a complete, normal and natural penis, and not a scarred, mutilated and partial one. Ignore the ones who suggest that you get circumcised; they obviously don t have a clue as to the feeling of a foreskin and a whole intact penis. A foreskin is not a birth defect; it is a birthright.

From my understanding, there s a fair amount of variance in foreskin length. The average one probably has some overhang (i.e. goes beyond end of penis) when flaccid, and is partially but not fully retracted on its own when erect. THat would be average . One that doesn t fully cover the head when flaccid or that is fully retracted when erect is unusually short. One that still overhangs somewhat when fully erect is on the long side, but unless its overhanging by like an inch when erect, I wouldn t think there s an issue.

Not really, unless the foreskin is tight and causes pain when you are erect. Just make sure when you shower to pull back the foreskin and give the head a gentle wash to clear away any cheesy looking substance that can accumulate under the foreskin. Don t use any strong soaps but a mild soap should be OK or a gentle stream of warm water until the head is completely clean. A lot of foreskin may actually mean you will have more pleasant sex life since there are a lot of nerve endings there that cause pleasure when stimulated. Some guys have as much of one inch of foreskin dangling when not erect. If you more than that, then you might want to see a Doctor if it causes you any sexual or cleanliness problems.

No one can predict if this is going to remain trouble-free or not.I presume that the foreskin is pliable and retracts easily when erect, causing no pain. Some men go on to develop foreskin problems as they age especially if they have skin conditions elsewhere or if they develop heart problems and have swelling. Lots of people get circumcised just because they like the look and feel of it or because they know it protects against further problems down the road. I did get quot;cutquot; as an adult and have nothing bad to say about it despite what people, say about losing nerve endings. It is your body and your choice. Don t be afraid of getting quot;cutquot; if you are healthy and want it done

it s not a problem, every penis looks different, it is very typical for a foreskin to overhang the tip, the purpose of it is to protect the glans and that is what it is doing, as long as you can retract it it will never be a problem I wish my parents hadn t chosen to cut me, when I found out about it I read everything I could, I know tons of information about and have read both pro and anti circumcision websites, I really wanted to believe it was good, but the truth just isn t there, you see and hear all these claims but if you ask for the actual study nobody has them or they are so old and used invalid techniques and would not even be considered for publishing, I wanted to believe it was good but if you look at both sides, circumcising without an immediate medical need makes no sense at all. I later did foreskin restoration restoring what was left (they do leave some foreskin) but it s not all restorable, but what I was able to get back was great. but this came at a price, I can no longer see circumcision as cosmetic or as if it does not really matter, things that I thought were normal I only realized were problems after I restored and no longer had them, sexual enjoyment is way up. I can t imagine how much better the real thing is. people have said in relation to sexual pleasure intact=10 cut=3 restored=7 and from my experience I agree with the cut/restored numbers www.nocirc.org

You mention quot;shouldquot; in your question. Only if it s a medical condition, or if you have serious reasons why a cosmetic procedure is essential, should anything be changed. It s your body of course, but I would imagine that it s every bit as good as anyones. If a doctor finds you normal and functional, then he/she isn t lying...you may stand proud of how you are. If you later want to consider making a surgical change, that s your business too, but do so only after talking with several professional, not all plastic surgeons. The thing is that we may have a warped sense of what normal is. No one is normal, no one is average, and no one can say what we quot;shouldquot; be like. We are individually different, but not superior, or inferior to any other. A doctor will know.

The only reason for this to be weird is if you ARE circumsized yet you still have the extra skin...otherwise uncircumsized men are normal lol (just keep it clean) If it is something that causes insecurity and you wish to get it removed...cosmetic surgery is always out there. Talk to a doc about it the next time you go ask the doc if there is anything you should be worried about and what your options are :)

Nope that sounds not all uncommon some guys have overhang when erect. I m not sure how old you are, but it s possible you would grow out of it. As long as you can pull it back manually to clean, or so it slides up and down for sex/masturbation, I don t think it ll cause any problems! Harriet

That is NORMAL and will not lead to any problems. As long as you can easily and painlessly retract your foreskin both flaccid and erect then there is nothing wrong with your penis at all!

if you find it irritating to underwear or other clothing or you re self conscious about it I would. As long as you pull the foreskin back and wash your genitals regularly there should be no problem.

ur not circumsized probably, check this link, does your penis look like this? if not, I m not sure what to tell you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Erect...

Congratulations. You could be a foreskin donor. With all of the restorations, that stuff in going for a pretty penny on ebay these days.

it s called redundant foreskin. I had that (I m now cut), and I didn t have any problem with it. It just looked like the anteater had an extra long nose.

You are a perfect candidate for a foreskin restoration. The newest methods are now available..seek help soon!

First of all:it will not lead to any problems. But if it bothers you:see your DR about it. It can be fixed. Space.

How bout you get circumsized for your birthday

you may see the doc for that.

No, if you keep it clean.
