Speaking from experience, frenums are easy as pie. Not like driving a nail through your finger like one person said. A frenum piercing is one of the least invasive penis piercings. The needle and jewelry go through skin only on the ventral surface of the penis. A piercing needle is tribeveled and laser sharpened. They slide through skin like butter.

Take a nail and drive it through your finger - that pain you feel will be magnified 10 times because you have many more nerve endings in the penis. Good luck with that one. You might suggest to your gf that she get one in her clitoris and then you guys could compare piercings.
not very painful actually, it s over with quickly and heals quickly as well with all the blood supply to the area. I have a pa and prefer that to the frenum. Check out www.bmezine.com for all the details you could possibly want to know.
i have a prince albert piercing. also, i have two piercings directly under the middle of my scrotum. you ask about the pain level. the prince albert was bloody, but not that painful. healing time was a good 6-8 weks, but my wife an i were having sex within a week. it was a little sore, but bearable. the two scrotum piercings WERE both painful. bleeding was minimal. the pain level was quite high. recovery time was at least 10-12 weeks. this is because the area is usually moist. healing does best in dry areas of the body. good luck!

I have what they call a deep shaft (Google it) it wasn't very painful for me and it has brought extreme pleasure for me and her. Also take not that I unlike most other men have a very how do you say affection for pain and it was amplified with this piercing. I know its not very common as i had to call 15 diff artists and found 2 willing to perform the piercing. and it also puts you down for about 3 months
