Is it normal to have hair growing up the shaft of my penis? I m really worried that my girlfriend may think that I have some kind of STD.

Some hair on the base of part of the shaft is normal. You can trim it if you want, but never shave it. That will irritate your partner and be very itchy.

As long as there is not hair on the head of your penis, I think you re just fine. Any girl who would think hair below the belt equated to an std is probably too young or too naive to be having sex in the first place!
